The Employer of Distinction awards honour top employers in Newfoundland & Labrador for leadership, innovation, and creativity in valuing their workforce and giving back to the community.
“This event is one of the few opportunities to celebrate employers who give back to the community through jobs, investment, and increasing the quality of life of their employees – achievements and contributions that aren’t recognized nearly enough,” said NLEC Executive Director Richard Alexander. “Minister Kenney is well known as one of the most influential cabinet ministers in the federal government, so we are extremely pleased to have him travel to St. John’s to show the federal government’s support of the employer community in our province.”
“Our Government`s top priorities are creating jobs, economic growth and long-term prosperity,” said Minister Kenney. “I am pleased to attend the NL Employers ‘Council awards luncheon to share with employers what our Government is doing to ensure Canadians have the skills employers are looking for in today`s economy.”
The Employer of Distinction Awards are sponsored by McInnes Cooper and proudly supported by Steele Communications.
