Dynamic Air Shelters and Marine Atlantic were named the 2013 NLEC Employers of Distinction on Friday, February 14th.

Kay Riggs, Vice-President accepted on behalf of Dynamic Air Shelters, who won the award in the small employer category. Paul Griffen, President & CEO accepted on behalf of Marine Atlantic.

The Employer of Distinction Awards honour top employers in Newfoundland & Labrador for leadership, innovation, and creativity in valuing their workforce and giving back to the community.

Dynamic Air Shelters was recognized for their commitment to education and development of employees, innovative employee wellness programs, and contribution to the community. Marine Atlantic was honoured due to their focus on workforce planning, training and development opportunities and internal promotion of employees from within the company.

Approximately 180 people attended the awards luncheon, which also featured a keynote address by the honourable Jason Kenney, Minister of Employment & Social Development, and Minister for Multiculturalism.
