C-CORE and Browning Harvey Ltd. were recognized this afternoon at the Newfoundland & Labrador Employers’ Council’s (NLEC) sixth annual “Employer of Distinction” awards luncheon. They were selected from a group of seven progressive local employers vying for this highly prestigious award.
C-Core
C-CORE was awarded the Employer of Distinction in the small employer category, and was recognized for the programs and benefits offered to its employees, creative recruitment and retention strategies, charity and volunteer work of staff, and the company’s focus on work life balance.
Browning Harvey Ltd.
Browning Harvey Ltd. was the recipient of the award in the large employer category, and was praised for its community involvement, dedication to Occupational Health & Safety, positive corporate culture and recent development of an Issue Resolution Policy to strengthen ties and communication between unionized employees and management.
